IELTS Test General Description


IELTS test is of two types

1.        IELTS Academic Test

2.        IELTS General Training Test

1.  IELTS Academic Test is for the persons who want to move to countries with English speaking environment for professional training registration or for higher education. This test involves the evaluation based on academic language, to ensure if you are eligible to study abroad in the English speaking environment. The test design and evaluation approach used in the IELTS test is duly supported by the institutions that accept the IELTS test score.

2. IELTS Academic Test is for the persons going for work or for secondary education. It is for the persons willing to migrate to UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Various organizations and institutions have different acceptance procedures, so you must check with the requirements of the organizations for which you are going to become the applicant. The main focus of this test is basic English language skills needed in the social workplace.

Registration Process of IELTS TEST

1.        Find the test location near to you.

2.        Get yourself registered for the test. You can do it by two methods.

(i)       One method is to register and to make payments online.

(ii)    Second method is applying in person by downloading the registration form and submitting it to the test centre after duly filling it. You must attach your identity document along with the application form. You will have to present the same valid identity document to the testing centre on the day of test.

3.        IELTS test booking conformation will be sent to the candidate in writing by the IELTS test centre indicating the date and time of schedule. For more detail download the information booklet.
